Level 7 Diploma in Police Leadership and Management

we are good at what we do

Overview and Objective

Globally, policing is experiencing a profound transition driven by more public responsibility, the significance of community cooperation, and a rising crisis of trust in both service integrity and police leadership. Future policing will define how police forces employ resources to keep people safe and deliver an effective, accessible, and trustworthy service.

The OTHM Level 7 Diploma in Police Leadership and Management develops the knowledge and skills needed to operate in a senior leadership and management role in a police force, where established authority and personal attributes translate strategic decisions into effective and efficient operational performance.

This specialised qualification reflects current practise in the senior echelons of policing and offers learners the chance to study diverse aspects of the policing agenda within the context of public sector reform and to gain an appreciation and understanding of the skills and competencies required of senior police officers to meet modern day challenges.

This certification requires applied investigation from students. This will allow senior police officers to directly address the needs of emerging operational settings, where a complex and internationally linked world poses challenges to policing’s purpose and function.

Learners will become skilled and thoughtful practitioners for their present position and future ones.
