Overview and Objective

The OTHM Level 7 Diploma in International Business Law enables learners to gain knowledge and understanding about various branches of law, develop an analytical and critical approach to applying UK and International legal principles, and understand the appropriateness of dealing with certain aspects of behaviour within the law.

The certificate equips learners with business legal knowledge to handle sophisticated difficulties.

Learners will be able to:

    Understand legal structures governing international commercial deals
  • Commercial trust law, corporate law, international trade law, intellectual property law, and financial crimes law.
  • Master legal research and writing.

includes 120 credits, 1200 hours TQT, and 600 Guided Learning Hours (GLH).

Duration

The certification is meant to be completed in one academic year for full-time study, however part-time and online learning are also options.

The qualification is delivered face-to-face, through lectures, tutorials, seminars, distance, online by approved centres only.

Assessment

OTHM verifies all units internally appraised by the centre. The credentials are criterion-referenced, depending on learning outcomes.

To pass a unit, students must show they've met all learning goals and assessment criteria requirements. Assessor determines whether learners met assessment standards.

audit trail

The Assessor should provide an audit trail showing how the judgement of the learners’ overall achievement has been arrived at.

Entry requirements

  • An honours degree in related subject or UK level 6 diploma or an equivalent overseas qualification
  • Mature learners with management experience (learners must check with the delivery centre regarding this experience prior to registering for the programme)
  • Learners must be 21 years old or older at the beginning of the course
