Level 7 Diploma in Police Leadership and Management

Overview and Objective

Globally, policing is experiencing a profound transition driven by more public responsibility, the significance of community cooperation, and a rising crisis of trust in both service integrity and police leadership. Future policing will define how police forces employ resources to keep people safe and deliver an effective, accessible, and trustworthy service.

Mandatory units:

  • Creating Strategic Leaders and Managers in Policing (20 credits)
  • Public Sector Reform (20 credits)
  • Digital Transformation in Policing and Cybercrime (30 credits)
  • Strategic Project Management (30 credits)
  • Strategic Consultancy Research Project (20 credits)

Entry requirements:

  • An honours degree in related subject or UK level 6 diploma or an equivalent overseas qualification
  • Mature learners with management experience (learners must check with the delivery centre regarding this experience prior to registering for the programme)
  • Learners must be 21 years old or older at the beginning of the course
