Why OTC Is Mapping Agent Training Routes
Study NSW school briefings provide a useful model: official or semi-official sessions introduce schools, admissions conditions, fee notes, enquiry contacts and counselling points for education agents.
OTC is extending that model across Australia so that Chinese-speaking families can receive more accurate, state-specific education-route information before any school, VET/TAFE, ELICOS, pathway or university application is prepared.
This page records public-facing route development only. It does not claim formal appointment by any state agency or provider unless a written agreement or official confirmation is in place.
Seven State and Territory Routes Contacted
Queensland: OTC has contacted Study Queensland to request access to education agent workshops, destination briefings, school-sector webinars, VET/TAFE updates and provider opportunities.
Victoria: OTC has contacted Study Melbourne regarding sector briefings, agent briefings and international education updates covering Victorian schools, VET/TAFE, ELICOS and higher education routes.
Western Australia: OTC has contacted StudyPerth following the Agent Education Week model, seeking future agent education activities, provider briefings and destination updates.
South Australia: OTC has contacted StudyAdelaide to request inclusion in agent events, school-focused webinars, provider updates and mailing lists.
Northern Territory: OTC has contacted Study NT regarding the Study NT Education Agent Training Course and future NT destination/provider briefings. Study NT has acknowledged the registration and issued an account-verification route for OTC's training access.
Tasmania: OTC has contacted Government Education and Training International for Tasmanian Government Schools agent updates, briefing routes and registration guidance.
ACT / Canberra: OTC has contacted the ACT International Education Unit and Study Canberra route for government school agent briefing and registration information.
What This Means for Students and Families
The practical value is not a badge. The value is a maintained briefing discipline: knowing where official updates come from, which state or provider is responsible for the rules, and when OTC should verify details before advising a family.
For Chinese-speaking families, this creates a clearer comparison framework across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Darwin, Hobart and Canberra routes.
For OTC, it creates a public information layer, an internal contact log and a future training calendar that can support K-12 school screening, vocational pathway planning and university application preparation.
Participation in a webinar, mailing list or public briefing does not automatically create an agency agreement or authorise OTC to represent a provider.
Formal cooperation, agent appointment, referral terms, commission arrangements, application authority and use of logos must be confirmed through the relevant institution or official body.
