Overseas Publishing, the London-based digital imprint behind overseasuk.com, has released the UK Legal English Intensive Course as three products on its Payhip storefront: a Learner Edition, an Instructor Edition and a Complete Nine-Volume Digital Library, each priced at £19.

The series is positioned as a dedicated textbook-and-workbook system for institutions and summer school alliances delivering intensive Legal English programmes, rather than a single self-study title.

The 20-day, four-week architecture

The course contains fifteen day-based teaching units across Weeks 1–3, followed by a Week 4 integration and capstone module. Week 1 covers legal systems, precedent, legal research and OSCOLA foundations; Week 2 covers contract structure, drafting verbs, warranties, indemnities and negotiation; Week 3 covers the dispute lifecycle, client interviewing, pleadings, settlement and oral advocacy.

Week 4 moves to international legal practice and professional communication, closing with a controlled capstone assessment based on a fictional client matter.

Learner Edition: textbook and workbook in one

The Learner Edition contains a 166-page Student's Book combining teaching text with professional research and drafting tasks, a controlled Capstone evidence bundle, a Traditional Chinese-English legal glossary, a captioned Day 1 partner-briefing exercise, an MP3 practice track, English subtitles and a course orientation video.

The workbook function is embedded: each day-unit pairs language input with drafting, research and communication tasks that generate assessable written work.

Instructor Edition: delivery and assessment controls

The Instructor Edition supplies the delivery architecture an alliance needs to run the course consistently across sites: the Teacher's Guide, Assessment Pack, Answer Key and Model Responses, confidential Capstone Teacher Key, Publication Control Pack, and captioned orientation and Day 1 listening materials.

The Assessment Pack includes a 60-minute entry diagnostic, weekly weightings, a 100-mark master rubric, separate listening, drafting and speaking rubrics, and a final course report template. Instructor files are controlled material and must not be redistributed to learners.

Source discipline and law currency

The publication states that law and source currency were checked to 18 July 2026, with jurisdictional focus on England and Wales and OSCOLA 5th edition as the citation standard.
