What OTC checks first

The first step is not tutoring the assignment immediately. OTC first checks whether the learner's current BTEC / Pearson route actually matches the undergraduate destination they have in mind.

Qualification route 課程類型

Confirm whether the learner is taking BTEC International Level 3, BTEC National, HNC, HND, Higher National, or another Pearson vocational route.

Level and size 級別與體量

Check whether the qualification is being used for first-year undergraduate entry, foundation-style entry, advanced-entry discussion or subject preparation.

Unit map 單元匹配

Map current and planned units against the intended subject, such as Business, Engineering, Computing, Creative Media, Health & Social Care or Hospitality.

Grade profile 成績結構

Review Pass / Merit / Distinction evidence patterns and identify which units need stronger analysis, evaluation or reflective explanation.

Route A: Level 3 / International Level 3

Used mainly by school-age learners who want an applied route into undergraduate study. OTC focuses on subject fit, assignment quality, academic English, application vocabulary and whether the evidence profile supports the intended major.

Route B: BTEC National

Often used alongside or instead of examination-heavy study. OTC checks the balance between externally assessed work, internally assessed units, practical evidence and the student's target university requirements.

Route C: HNC / HND / Higher Nationals

Used by learners seeking degree progression or possible advanced-entry discussion. OTC maps units and learning outcomes to undergraduate subject expectations and helps organise project evidence.

Route D: Mixed or unclear route

Some learners only know the subject name, not the exact qualification size or awarding route. OTC clarifies the document trail first, then advises which tutoring support is appropriate.

Diagnosis Output

What the learner receives after diagnosis

Subject-fit note

A short bilingual note explaining how the current BTEC route relates to the intended undergraduate subject.

Unit evidence map

A practical map of which units, assignments, portfolio pieces or project logs can support the study story.

Writing priority list

A ranked list of where the learner needs support: description, analysis, evaluation, reflection, data explanation or presentation.

Next tutoring plan

A recommended support plan: assignment-brief breakdown, subject vocabulary, evidence planning, portfolio explanation or application interview preparation.

Academic boundary: OTC provides tutoring, bilingual explanation and progression planning only. OTC does not guarantee admission, grade outcomes, credit transfer or university acceptance, and does not complete learner assignments for submission.
