Six sections turn a Canada application into an executable plan

Every section links to primary Canadian government sources. Policy-sensitive claims are not based on marketing copy or social-media hearsay.

01A DLI does not guarantee a PGWP

The school must be a DLI, but not every programme at a DLI is PGWP-eligible. Check the exact programme before accepting an offer.

02Public master's and PhD PAL/TAL exemption

From 1 January 2026, degree-granting master's and doctoral programmes at public DLIs are PAL/TAL-exempt; Quebec requirements still need separate checking.

0324 hours of off-campus work

Eligible students may work up to 24 hours per week off campus during regular terms and unlimited hours during scheduled breaks.

04Financial threshold changes soon

For one applicant, living-expense evidence is CAD 22,895 through 31 August 2026 and CAD 23,448 from 1 September, excluding tuition and travel.

Canada application support

Eligible applicants within scope may receive a free initial assessment, school-selection guidance, a document checklist, institutional application submission and routine progress follow-up. Where an institution actually pays an enrolment commission, any student rebate is confirmed in writing case by case. School application fees, translation or certification, tests, tuition, immigration fees and third-party costs are excluded. OTC does not guarantee admission, a visa, PGWP eligibility, employment or immigration outcomes.
