A lower entry threshold is not automatically lower risk. Compare academic fit, cost, placements, DLI and PGWP status, and realistic graduate roles together.
Universities cover undergraduate and taught or research graduate degrees; colleges and polytechnics are more applied; K–12 applications often run through public boards or private schools; pathways can address language or academic gaps but progression conditions must be explicit.
Each institution sets its own academic, language, portfolio, prerequisite and document rules. IELTS 6.5 is not a national rule, and permission to host international students does not guarantee PGWP eligibility.
Record the credential, campus and city, tuition and mandatory fees, placement structure, DLI/PGWP/CIP result, and target jobs and province. Ranking is one column, not a substitute for the other five.
Common evidence includes transcripts, graduation or enrolment records, language scores, statements, references and a CV. Creative programmes may require a portfolio; research degrees may require a proposal and supervisor fit. The programme page remains authoritative.
